Hwange National Park boasts more animals and a bigger range of species (107) than any other park in the country, including more than 400 types of birds. On this tour, Victoria Falls Safaris will offer two nights in Victoria Falls. to give you a chance to meet over 65,000 elephants that live in Hwange and monopolize all water sites in the afternoons during the dry season. Other animals found in the park include lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, impalas, kudus, sables, elands, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, baboons, and warthogs, among others.
The climate in Hwange National Park
May, June, July, and early August, and while the days are bright with magnificent blue skies, the evenings can turn extremely cold, with temperatures dropping below freezing not uncommon, so bring thick clothing. I promise you, it's freezing! The summer months are September to May. Days that be hot to extremely hot, with pleasant evenings. Rainy season: generally between late November and April, though rain might fall outside of these periods.
Victoria Falls Safaris: Months with the Most Game Viewing
The months of August, September, October, and early November are by far the greatest for wildlife viewing in this area. When water becomes limited, animals flock around the few pumping waterholes. Sitting calmly and silently at one of these watering holes will yield excellent results.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival at the Victoria Airport
You will be collected at the Victoria Falls Airport by your driver-guide and transported to Hwange Safari Lodge (two hours via asphalt roads). We will go on a late afternoon wildlife drive within the Hwange Safari Lodge estate, which borders Hwange National Park, following checking in. There are no walls separating the main park from this estate. Your three-hour game drive will last far into the night, which means you'll have a high chance of seeing large cats! The Hwange Safari Lodge will host your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Morning and Afternoon Game drive
Your guide will take you up after breakfast for a full-day safari in Hwange National Park (by the main camp gate). There will be mineral water, soft drinks, a picnic lunch, and plenty of beverages. We'll eat lunch at one of the park's many viewing platforms and return to the lodge around 1600 a.m.
The elephants of Hwange are world-famous and comprise one of the world's largest elephant populations. Other animals found in the park include lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, impalas, kudus, sables, elands, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, baboons, and warthogs, among others.
The Hwange Safari Lodge will be your home for the night.
Day 3
Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park rivals the major parks of East Africa, but without the tourists! You'll spend another enjoyable day at the park searching for your favorite animals. On a good day, you may be able to return to the lodge earlier than anticipated because you will have seen everything you planned to see!
The Hwange Safari Lodge will be your home for the night.
Day 4
Transfer to Victoria Falls
After breakfast, you will be driven to Victoria Falls in air-conditioned vans (a two-hour, 195-kilometer journey).
Following check-in, we will go to Victoria Falls via the great baobab tree for the guided tour. This 2-kilometer hike takes roughly two hours. Nothing can prepare you for the heart-stopping experience that is Victoria Falls' sight, sound, and scent. You will have the sobering sensation of realising that the falls are, without a doubt, nature's masterpiece. Return transport and mineral water are included.
Later in the day, we'll go souvenir shopping at the open Curio markets.
You will be transferred to the jetty at 1600 hrs for a pleasant Zambezi River sunset cruise. As you relax with a sundowner and munchies,
Day 5
Victoria Falls Safari
Today is kept open for optional trips such as elephant rides, lion walks, whitewater rafting, paddling on the upper Zambezi, half-day or full-day safaris in Botswana's Chobe National Park, crossing the bridge into Zambia, or shopping for presents at the open curio markets.
Dinner will be served at the acclaimed Boma restaurant. The Elephant Hills Resort will be your overnight destination.
Day 6
Victoria Falls International Airport
This is your final day at Victoria Falls. Your transfer to the airport will be determined by the time of your departing flight. You can also do one or two additional optional tours before leaving for the airport in the morning.
