The weather for the best Namibia adventure
Dry Season (May to October) and Winter (November to February) Conditions become dryer and drier as the winter months progress. This is the coolest time of year for your 10 Days Best of Namibia.
May, June, July, and August are the driest months of the year, with plenty of sunshine and the coolest temperatures. The average midday temperature is 25 degrees Celsius (73 degrees Fahrenheit). Morning temperatures typically hover around 11°C/51°F; however, they frequently go below freezing. Early-morning wildlife drives require warm clothing.
Temperatures in September and October are on the rise, with temperatures averaging 29°C/84°F. Temperatures in the early morning average 14°C/58°F. The month of October is typically hot, with temperatures reaching 38°C/100°F on occasion. The rains usually begin at the end of October or the beginning of November. From November to April, the wet season lasts. "Wet season" is a little misleading because there is still very little rain.
